CHURCH PLANTING DIARY: JILGM AGUIOAS @18

God alone deserves all the glory and honor for His 18 years of faithfulness.

On December 18, 2022, Jesus is Lord Global Ministry celebrated its 18th anniversary with the theme: Trust in the Lord (Proverbs 3:5).

JILGM Aguioas started with a humble beginning and was full of trust in the Lord. As Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:6-9, "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building."

JILGM Aguioas was the daughter church of JILGM San Luis under the leadership of Ptr, Nelson Reyes. The pioneering workers in this rural place were Ptr. Dexter and Ptr.Danilo Patacil.They were reaching out to the community for Christ until a bamboo church was built for regular Sunday services. After two years, yours truly was appointed by Ptr. Nelson to oversee the church.

Pastoring a pioneering church is extremely difficult, especially in a rural setting. With few resources, I learned to kneel and trust in God's providence. With the help of Korean missionaries, the bamboo church was transferred to a new location in the same barangay, and built a concrete church. Praise God because the church lot is currently owned by the church.  


JILGM AGUIOAS ON MISSION

There were many ups and downs in the church but praise God because the fruit of thy labor is not in vain. In 2012, JILGM Aguioas Mission Team with the help of the Philippine College of Ministry (PCM) started the church planting in Bariquir Naguilian. It took one year to reach out to the people in the community until, in 2013, a daughter church has been established.

BY FAITH
In one year, God provided a church lot and church building for JILGM Bariquir. This is the result of kneeling and TRUSTING in God. If there is one thing that I have learned in the ministry, OBEY first and PROVISION will follow. Truly God works in a miraculous way.

MINISTRY EXPANSION

The daughter church in Bariquir just celebrated its ninth anniversary last November. The church renamed itself JILGM WORSHIP CENTRAL to better serve the nearby barangay of Naguilian, which has an ideal logistical location. The church is led by Ptr. Earl John Torremoro, graduate from PCM with a degree in AB Theology. He has been pastoring the church for 9 years.

JILGM AGUIOAS has been gifted with a mission heart. This year, the Church Planting Mission Team started to reach out to the community of West Francia, Tubao La Union and the church building started to be constructed last September. We are continuously praying for God's provision and we appreciate so much your generosity to finish the church.
